The Human Animal Bond Association continues its mission of providing educational tracts at major veterinary meetings. This year that mission has expanded to include the VMX, WVC and AVMA meetings.

First, the newly named VMX (formerly the NAVC) in Orlando, next the WVC (Western Veterinary Conference) in Las Vegas and finally the AVMA meeting held this year in Denver.
The same basic program will be presented at each of these important meetings. The theme this year continues to explore how the human animal bond can lead to emotional stress for the caregivers and how we must be aware of the problem.

Subjects for the WVC include:

  • The Human Animal Bond and How it Affects our Personal Journey to Sustainability and Wellbeing
  • When What We Do “Hurts” our patients and the Emotional Toll on Us
  • The Challenges of Treating Pets Owned by Seniors and the Impact on Our Wellbeing
  • Diving into Technology: How it can both hinder and help Veterinary Wellbeing.
